I can't hear this speaker at all. And their website is not in English.

I couldn't understand the speaker in the itunes video either, but I did find the English link on the site(it does kind of blend in). Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of info in English.
The group Multiplicidade has something very interesting going on, bringing artists and musicians together. I wasn't able to find out how long each group spent together, or if they had worked together previously. I would like to find out how the pairings are arranged, because there could be very interesting differences between performances such as if several different artists interpreted a musicians work, or vice versa.

I also don't really know what's being said, but i was able to find the English section of the web-page and watched a number of the video's there. The combination of live musical performance and visual art is very intriguing and something that they have brought to a new level. To me it is a welcome step above a band playing and just having a banner with some sort of art hanging in the background while colored lights come on and off. It's something I would like to look into in the future regarding my music and when ever I can play a live show or two.

I checked out the site. And it seems that Batman creates a platform in which visual artist and musicians create new trends on stage. I wonder how much planing goes into this or are they free styling? It would seem like there is a lot of opportunity for some really cool things to come out of this.

Have no idea what is being said, too mumbly. - What I am seeing though is more resemblance on the power of sound and music. The visual is only half if not less then half the strongest part of a piece sometimes. This could be a whole new way to experience live concerts in the future...This "way" of performance will probably spread and become much more popular and regular in the future years.

Its too bad I could not understand any of the lectures sound.

I could not hear the lecture, I am a sheep.

The website, and what I gathered from the introduction, displays Batman as a sort of festival or outlet for new media artists to display their work and collaborate with people from many different artistic disciplines. This made me wonder if we have opportunities like this in the states in that, we could try to get people together from different backgrounds for some given amount of time and create new and exciting pieces of new media work.

I feel that what we have up here, and this has been criticized in the past, is a lack of collaboration and really not an excessively diverse background of people in the area that can truly foster a new interesting collaborative effort. It'd almost have to be an entire state or region project to get people together to collaborate rather than relying simply on what the school has to offer.

Although, now that I mention it, there is always outside the new media major... hmm... possibility here?

Again, this is one of the few lectures that was hard to hear and understand. From reviewing what everyone has said Batman seems to be just another visual artist who has come from a similar creative technological background , in this case graphic design, and has used that background to utilize his success as a visual artist.

I've heard that some of his images and/or animations are projected on walls and used at fashion shows. Intersting, because I was just flipping through the channels and some celeb gossip/news program showed a highlight from a fashion show. To my surprise they were indeed projecting images that were VJ-esque onto the walls which I'm guessing were to set the mood of the show. Interesting to see how involved those artists would be with the mapping festival world and what not

The visual pieces this guy presented were astounding. I couldn't understand a single word he said, however the visuals beautiful. After seeing his work I'd be really interested to be able to hear what he has to say...alas it's not to be.
